Everyone has their own way to understand things. Facing unfamiliar images, Dicky will analyze them by squares, circles, triangles and etc. These are the geometric shapes he knows about. Whenever he understands a shape, he starts to paint it. All complex images are put together through this program of adding on. 

Dicky’s works are not only colorful, but also powerful. You can feel the strength in his paintings which are rich in brush strokes and thick in texture. After touches of the oil pastels, his hands become stained with a variety of colors, and gradually turned dingy. Yet, the dusky marks on his hands represent the vibrant traces that he has put on the paper.

Now, perhaps an object will no longer have an original form, but a new geometric world of Dicky’s is born.
