"Dreamscape" officially opened, showcasing more than 110 artworks from the rehabilitation units of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals

The group exhibition entitled "Dreamscape" officially opened on August 30 at the L0 Gallery of the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre, until September 8, 2024. The exhibition exhibits over 110 artworks by more than 80 service users from 7 rehabilitation service units (in no particular order): Fong Shu Chuen Day Activity Centre cum Hostel, Ho Yuk Ching Workshop cum Hostel, Hung Fuk Integrated Vocational Rehabilitation Centre cum Hostel, i-dArt, Lok Kwan District Support Centre, Mok Law Sui Wah Integrated Vocational Rehabilitation Centre and Yeung Sing Memorial Long Stay Care Home, to showcase their artistic talents.
 
The exhibition starts from exploring "Dreams are..." and extends to six major themes: "A Harmonious City", "Expressing My Self", "Full of Colors", "Communicating with You", "Enjoying Life" and "Embracing Nature", sharing what our service users experience in daily lives and their vivid imagination.
 
On the day of the opening ceremony, the atmosphere of the exhibition was vibrant and lively. Many visitors and friends from social welfare sector and cultural industry came to visit and congratulate. Mr. YUEN Hon-lam, the Deputy Head of Community Services Division of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, delivered a welcome speech. Our service users also interacted with the public and shared their creative ideas and feelings with guests. We would also like to thank Ms. Ho Wing-yin, Winnie JP, the Secretary for Housing, and her team for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit and bring a perfect conclusion to the ceremony.
