Japan Art Tour Flashback 2: Visiting Atelier Corners
24 November 2023
We visited three local organizations dedicated to the development of art for individuals with different abilities. First, we went to Atelier Corners, located in Osaka, and its subsidiary, Art-Labox School.
Corners arranged various art workshops and cultural experiential activities for us, including calligraphy, Indian dance workshops, keychain creation, and Japanese summer festival stalls. Among them, the most memorable experience for Ka-kay and his family was interacting through calligraphy. Cheuk-kwok rarely wrote large-scale calligraphy, which gained appreciation from Japanese friends and fellow caregivers. Dancing Indian dance for the first time evoked different reactions from everyone, but it was rare for them to connect with local artists through dance. Everyone had a great time!
