The repetitive daily life is intangible and tasteless; it seems illusory yet is real. As time passes by, the "everyday" appears to be "vaporized" by life. However, Ka-fai presents this illusory and overlooked daily existence through his personal characteristics, bringing it to life and making it concrete with his paint brush, thus constructing a vivid personal world.
Ka-fai paints repetitive images, asks repetitive questions, and self-talks about the minutiae of life. These are all patterns of self-expression for him, and perhaps they also establish his own form.
