Whenever Kam-chung was painting or writing a piece of calligraphy, you would be watching with joy for his unhurried manner and smiling face. He, in the beginning, relied heavily on the instructions of the instructor or the teaching assistant for his creation. He later made obvious progress and changes during group learning and in interacting with his fellow classmates. He began to think and observe more before he started to do his creation. He did the works slowly but patiently.

Unique arrangement of the words, random width of the strokes, presence of their original meanings, all make the paintings full of vitality and fun. The dense and powerful lines look like the sparkles of the firework blooming in the paintings. The illustrations mingle reality with imaginations, shapes of which are created with his very personal visual art language giving the images a childlike flavor.
